Valentine’s Day is just three short weeks away. Now is a good time to start cranking out those Valentine’s Day gift ideas.
You want to give the gift that is sweet, romantic, funny and clever. Even if your gift does not encompass all of those qualities, at least your card will. Try crafting a romantic Valentine’s Day Card that is sweet on the outside and a little naughty on the inside.
The card puts a slightly erotic twist on a Martha Stewart craft idea. Martha suggests homemade classic cards, so begin by creating your own valentines with classic messages like “To my love,” “Be Mine,” or “I love you” on the outside of the card.
To print these messages, shape individual strips of paper, curling the ends as you would a ribbon, to form letters that resemble calligraphy. Use carefully placed dabs of craft glue to hold each letter in place on the front of the card.
On the inside, write a message that is sure to make your lover feel hot and bothered. For example, tell them the part of their body you love and find irresistible. Perhaps write an idea of what you’d like to do with them a little later on Valentine’s Day night.
Make the love in your life feel sexy this year by giving the gift of a homemade card. To learn how to make the card, visit MarthaStewart.com.
