I know that the two of you vowed to always stay together when he was alive, but those vows needn’t bind you for the rest of your life now that he has, sadly, passed away. I’m sure if he could speak to you, he would tell you that it was okay to find a new man and make a new life for yourself. While there is no set time for mourning, many societies do look at a year as proper, and since more time than that has elapsed, I think it’s time for you to begin dating. It’s not going to be easy, and you won’t forget your first boyfriend, but it would not be fair to you to remain in mourning forever. So ease your way back into the dating process and see what develops.
