I can't reach orgasm through masturbation. Help! |
 Hi, I'm 12 years old. I finally got my period two years ago, but just recently have started getting it regularly. The only thing is that I just now for about half a year started getting sexual tendencies and finally I picked up masturbation.
I have not gotten any pleasure at all, but I want an orgasm and feel very guilty about it after I do masturbate. I don't dare tell my mom, dad, or friends at all because my parents would disapprove and get very angry and my friends will stay away from me. After all of this happens, I feel like a normal 12-year-old girl with my normal interests. I've never really been a boy type so it shocks me how strong these feelings are. I'm really confused about the matter and would like an answer, but I will fully understand if you don't. Many thanks.
 You saw that when you first started having your period, it didn’t come every month but that it took two years before they started coming regularly. Well, it’s the same with sex. Your sexual hormones have kicked in, but not completely. So you’re having sexual urges, but maybe you’re not quite ready to have orgasms. So you have this sexual itch that you want to scratch and so you masturbate, but it doesn’t produce an orgasm. Don’t worry about it. After a time, I’m sure that things will change. Now there are some women who need more stimulation than they can get from using just their fingers, while others need to be with a man to become sexually aroused enough to have an orgasm. In other words, not every woman is alike. But for now, just be patient and see what happens. Becoming fully sexually mature is a process that will take several years and rather than get frustrated by the wait, try to enjoy each stage as you go through them and don’t try to rush things.
