Are oil-based lubricants safe? |
 My boyfriend loves to be lathered in oil, especially for hand jobs.
However, if I want him to make love to me, how dangerous is it for the female body to accept an oil-based covered penis rather than a water-based massage lotion?? I have heard that oil-based lotions and oils are not good for the inside of a female and want to know about the risks. Thank you.
 You’re correct that oil-based lotions should not be introduced into the vagina. They could lead to infections; not yeast infections, but other types that can be hard to get rid of. It won’t happen every time, but the leftover oil could act as a good place for the wrong sort of bacteria to incubate which would lead to an infection. So either you switch to a water-based lubricant, or he has to carefully wipe the oil off of his penis before he inserts it into your vagina.
