We Have Plenty of Sex, So Why Am I Not Getting Pregnant? |
 Me and my fiancé have been together for five years and we have been trying to have a baby for at least four of them.
We have lots of sex. It used to be six times a day everyday but now we only have sex three to four times a day. I was pregnant twice before. My first one I had an abortion when I was twelve my second one when I was fifteen and I miscarried the baby. It was in my tubes and they took out my right fallopian tube and my doctor told me that I can get pregnant but it would be hard and it is very hard. Please help.
 I’m glad that you’re having sex so often, and I hope you’re enjoying yourselves, but having sex more than once a day isn’t going to help you get pregnant. In fact, it might make it harder. And if you’ve been having sex so often in order to get pregnant, then my first suggestion to you is to read up on how women become pregnant. I’ll give you a few pointers here, but you really need to learn the subject matter thoroughly.
A woman can only get pregnant during a few days a month when she is fertile. Those days usually fall about two weeks after she has her period, when she ovulates. But every woman is slightly different so it’s important to discover when you are ovulating. There are methods of doing this by keeping track of your body temperature, etc. but I can’t go into all that here, which is why you need to read up on this. And your partner should not ejaculate for a day or so before you ovulate so that when he does, he produces the most possible sperm. So in trying to get pregnant, it’s quality not quantity that counts. I might also suggest that you speak to your doctor to learn more about your particular case, having only one fallopian tube.
