How can I Boost my Sex Drive?
Image I am a 24 year old woman in a very good relationship. My problem is a lack of sexual interest.

As a couple we get along wonderfully. My boyfriend has hinted that he wants sex more but I just do not have the drive. Are there any medications for women (like Viagra for men) or herbal supplements you can suggest boosting my sexual drive?

ImageFirst of all, Viagra does not give a man the desire to have sex. Instead if he does have the desire but can’t get an erection, it can help him get an erection. Arousal is a psychological issue, not a physiological one and Viagra works on the man’s physiology. So there is no pill that you can take to make you aroused so what you must do is find out the reason that your sex drive is low, assuming that it is. Just because he wants sex more often does not mean that you need any sort of adjustment. There are no absolute numbers that I can give you as to how often you should be having sex, but if your level of desire is lower than it’s been in the past, and then you have a starting point from which to work. Any psychological reasons could stem from your relationship to outside pressures from work or family. There could also be some health problem that is affecting your libido. You might start by talking to a doctor, or make an appointment to see a sex therapist. Remember, at this point you’re not necessarily looking to correct your sex drive, as it might be fine, but rather to find out whether or not there is a problem.
