I'm fond of saying the most important sex organ is the brain, and so the best way to improve your sex life is to improve your relationship because if your brain is happy and satisfied with your relationship, the odds are that your sex life will be good too. 

That said, there are different ways to have sex and if you want to know more about them, I suggest you buy some books on the subject. Some of these books, like the Kama Sutra, are hundreds of years old, which proves that people have been trying to improve on sex for a long, long time. Boredom is also a danger to a relationship so you are right to want to add some variety. But variety doesn't only have to come from using a different position. You can make love at different times of the day. You can switch who initiates sex. You can have sex in different rooms. You can keep the lights off or you can keep them on. So while using different positions is a good idea, it's not the only one.
