I am 14 years old and about a month ago I put a tampon in for the first time, I HAVE to wear them because I have swimming.
Any ways, it hurt so bad, I am not one to cry to pain, believe me, but
this had me in tears. I was told that "small" women run in our family
and that if you are extra "small" and start having sex at a young age
you can have problems internally in the long run. This worries me because I am planning on having sex soon with my boyfriend (don't try to convince me not to please, I have made up my mind) and I don't want to have SERIOUS problems. What's gonna happen and what should I do? Please answer.
If you had a little five year old niece and she said to you she insisted on putting her bare hand on the hot stove and she wanted you to tell her how to do it without getting burned, what would you say to her? You've asked me a similar question. I'm not saying that you definitely are going to have problems having intercourse because of what you've told me, but it is possible. Now if you were older and in a more mature relationship, especially if you were married, such difficulties can be overcome. But that's not necessarily true of a 14 year old having sex with her boyfriend. And if you do run into trouble, it may make harder for you later on in life because you'll have extra fears from having failed.
If you were 14 and asking me how to have sex without making a baby, I might tell you not to, but I'd also tell you what to do, so I don't want you to think I'm putting you off only because of my bias about your age. But if you are going to encounter other problems, then 14 really is too young and there's not much that I can tell you because I really doubt that you and your boyfriend are going to be able to overcome these problems. But if you don't listen to me and do have sex, and don't run into any problems, I hope you do everything possible to protect yourself from an unintended pregnancy or catching a sexually transmitted disease.
