How do I cure vaginismus? |

I have an issue called vaginismus, pain by fear during sexual intercourse.
I have been married for 4 years and have only had sex 10-12 times in those past years. Each time it has been very painful like someone is literally stabbing inside. I've tried muscle relaxants, alcohol, vibrating toys, lubricant and other forms of sexual play with no prevail. I completely lost the joy of passion and sex all together. No joke. Any tips?
Since it seems you’ve tried so many self-help methods without success, the one tip I can give you is to go for professional help. Vaginismus can be hard to treat. Most of the time it’s psychological in nature, but the physical effects may be so strong that you’ll need a medical doctor’s help, as some women need to employ a series of vaginal dilators, each one slightly larger than the next, to open up their vagina sufficiently to allow their partner to enter. But sometimes a sex therapist can help by assisting the woman to overcome the psychological forces that cause her to involuntarily tighten up her vaginal muscles. But since it seems that you can’t fix this problem on your own, it’s time you stopped trying and put yourself into professional hands.
