I am 49 years old and have been married for 30 years, for many of these years I have been unable to enjoy sex with my wife due to the size of my penis.  We have tried hours of foreplay, special oils and have seen several Doctors to no avail. With a penis 8.5 inches long and 2 inches in diameter I have been considering surgery to reduce the size of my penis, is this possible? 

Had you said that you had never been able to enjoy sex with your wife, that might indicate one set of problems, but since you were once able to have sex and now cannot, then it doesn't seem that it is the size of your penis that is the main issue.  There is a condition called vaginismus in which a woman's vaginal muscles contract involuntarily, making it difficult, if not impossible, for the penis to enter. This usually is caused by some psychological problem. For example, let's say you had an affair ten years ago and your wife found out but forgave you. She may not consciously resent having intercourse, but if she subconsciously resents it because of that affair, then that could cause vaginismus.  I would suggest that you visit a sex therapist. Perhaps a sex therapist will be able to get to the bottom of this problem and come up with a solution. I would definitely not advise you to go for any penis reduction surgery.
