Breakdancing originated on the streets of New York City in the 1970s
and is referred to as the best known of all hip hop dance styles. This
Saturday The Tribeca Film Festival pays tribute to this hip hop movement with the viewing of "Planet B-Boy" a documentary about the history of breakdancing and the recent resurgence in urban cultures.
Fab 5 Freddy will host the series of events that include live
breakdance perfomances, a Tribute to James Brown and breakdance lessons
where you can learn moves such as "windmills" and "pop and lock"!
Dr. Ruth reminds you, if you can learn to move
your body this well on the dance floor imagine what you can do in the
bedroom!
