Treat your partner to a different kind of massage tonight. Adding a little variety to how and where you touch may increase the heat. Try this maneuver titled, “The Heavenly Hold” to fully relax their neck and shoulders.

• Begin sitting or standing at the head of the face-up reclining receiver.

• Reach your fingertips under the receiver’s head and touch the base of their skull.

• Rest the receiver’s head in your palms.

• Press your fingertips into the valley just before the ridge where the neck meets the head and hold.

• Hold your hands firmly in place and lean your body back to gently stretch the receiver’s neck.

• Hold for at least 30 seconds or until the receiver expresses relief. This may even last up to five minutes.

• Release slowly.

The “Heavenly Hold” will stimulate the points in the center and on the back of the neck, which help clear the head, alleviate hangovers and throbbing headaches and relieve cold symptoms, dizziness and irritability.
